SITA has agreed to acquire Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions, the airport-technology business of RTX’s Collins Aerospace, in a deal that will expand its capabilities in passenger processing, baggage handling and airport operations. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to customary conditions and required regulatory approvals.
Collins Aerospace Airport Solutions provides systems and services spanning the passenger journey, including check-in, self-service facilities and baggage drop-off. Its portfolio also includes mission-critical systems supporting airport operations.
The combination is intended to provide more seamless and resilient services for airlines and airports while strengthening customer support. It will bring together two established airport-technology portfolios and broaden SITA’s position as a technology supplier to the air-transport industry.
SITA chief executive David Lavorel described the acquisition as a way to reinforce the company’s role as an air-transport technology partner. The parties have not disclosed a purchase price or detailed financing terms. Completion remains subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.
