Embraer delivers first C-390 Millennium to Uzbekistan Air Force

Embraer has delivered the first C-390 Millennium to the Uzbekistan Air Force during a ceremony at its facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil. The handover makes Uzbekistan the first operator of the military transport aircraft in Central Asia and comes under a contract signed at the end of 2024 that also covers training, support and spare parts.

Major General Akhmad Jamolovich Burkhonov, commander of the Uzbekistan Air Force, and Olimkhon Bakiyevich Rustamov, director of the state institution O‘ztextreyd, attended the ceremony. Embraer linked the delivery to Uzbekistan’s efforts to modernise and strengthen its air mobility capabilities.

The company has not disclosed the full size of the order in the available material, and no public entry-into-service date in Uzbekistan has been announced. The C-390 programme has been positioned as a multi-mission transport platform for military and other operational roles.
