NASA has named the four astronauts for its SpaceX Crew-14 mission to the International Space Station, with liftoff targeted for no earlier than spring 2027. The crew will be led by NASA astronaut Kayla Barron as commander, with Chris Birch as pilot, joined by JAXA astronaut Makoto Suwa and Roscosmos cosmonaut Arutyun Kiviryan for the agency’s 14th commercial crew rotation with SpaceX.
After docking, Crew-14 will join Expedition 75/76 for a long-duration science mission aboard the station. Suwa’s assignment is his first spaceflight, while the schedule remains provisional and may still change before launch. The crew selection underlines the continued reliance on SpaceX flights for US-led access to low Earth orbit and routine astronaut transport to the orbital outpost.
