SAS will open a new signature lounge at Copenhagen Airport in June 2027, creating its largest lounge project to date at the airline’s main hub. The facility will occupy the fourth floor of Terminal 3 and is designed to replace the current lounge setup with a larger space for work, rest, dining and socialising.
The lounge is planned to cover about 3,700 square metres and offer around 1,095 seats, with capacity for up to 4,000 visitors a day. SAS expects the new space to be about 40% larger than the current lounge and to feature 24 private work pods, family and social areas, expanded shower and restroom facilities, hotel rooms, a dedicated bar, barista service, bakery items and digital occupancy monitoring.
A new Exclusive Zone will be reserved for SAS’s most loyal top-tier customers. The airport lounge forms part of SAS’s wider premium ground product investment in Copenhagen, where business travellers and frequent flyers remain a key competitive battleground in Scandinavia.
