CMA CGM Air Cargo joins BARIG

CMA CGM Air Cargo has joined BARIG, the Board of Airline Representatives in Germany, expanding the association’s air cargo membership in Frankfurt. The French freight airline becomes the latest cargo operator in BARIG’s network, strengthening its ties to German aviation stakeholders and the wider freight community.

BARIG confirmed the addition in Frankfurt on Thursday, describing CMA CGM Air Cargo as a globally connected member of its air freight group. The airline, part of the CMA CGM Group, links Paris, Germany and the Benelux region with Asia and the Americas, and operates from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Its membership gives BARIG another freight-focused operator as the association works with carriers on market, regulatory and operational issues in Germany.

Founded in 2021, CMA CGM Air Cargo is the air freight division of the CMA CGM Group, which spans sea, land, air and logistics services. The move adds another international cargo carrier to BARIG’s roster at a time when air freight cooperation remains central to the German market.
