ATR appoints Vittorio Lorenzo Della Bella as new CEO

ATR has appointed Leonardo Helicopters U.S. president Vittorio Lorenzo Della Bella as its new chief executive, with the change due to take effect on 1 November 2026. He will succeed Nathalie Tarnaud Laude at the regional turboprop manufacturer, while Patrick Bergues will become senior vice-president finance and chief financial officer on the same date.

Della Bella brings extensive aerospace experience to the role. He previously served as senior vice-president, customer support, services and training at Leonardo Helicopters and also held the post of managing director of NHIndustries. The leadership change comes at a sensitive point for ATR, which remains one of the key players in the regional turboprop market.

ATR’s board made the appointment as part of its standard succession process under the company’s governance arrangements. The company did not outline a separate strategic rationale for the move.
