Honeywell signs three-year APU services deal with Garuda Indonesia

Honeywell Aerospace has signed a three-year agreement with PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to provide repair and maintenance services for Honeywell 131-9B, 331-350 and 331-500 auxiliary power units across the airline’s fleet. The deal covers APUs fitted to Garuda’s 737-800, A330 and 777 aircraft and is intended to give the carrier more predictable repair costs, clearer service expectations and better maintenance planning over the contract term.

The agreement extends a long-running relationship between the two companies and deepens Honeywell’s aftermarket presence in Asia-Pacific. The APUs will be supported through Honeywell’s Singapore facility, giving the arrangement regional MRO significance as airlines continue to rely on external maintenance capacity for higher utilisation fleets.

No financial terms were disclosed. The contract adds to Honeywell’s aviation services work in the region at a time when carriers are extending aircraft service lives and looking for more structured component support across mixed narrowbody and widebody operations.
