Malaysia Airlines extends Airbus FHS support for A330ceo fleet

Malaysia Airlines has extended its Flight Hour Services maintenance agreement with Airbus for its A330ceo fleet, keeping the carrier’s long-running power-by-the-hour support in place. The deal, linked to MRO Asia-Pacific in Singapore and handled from Kuala Lumpur, continues Airbus’ integrated maintenance role for the widebody aircraft that remain central to the airline’s long-haul operations.

The extension preserves a package that includes component support, on-site stock, access to Airbus component pools, repair services and reliability engineering, alongside daily maintenance assistance from Airbus regional representatives. Airbus FHS has supported Malaysia Airlines’ A330ceo aircraft since 2017, and the carrier also brought its A330neo fleet into the programme in 2024.

The renewed arrangement points to continuity in Malaysia Airlines’ maintenance strategy rather than a change in supplier. It also reflects the airline’s reliance on OEM-managed support to sustain operational reliability across both older and newer Airbus widebodies. No contract value, term or fleet-size breakdown was disclosed.
