ST Engineering, Collins Aerospace expand aircraft component support tie-up

ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business and Collins Aerospace have signed three multi-year agreements in Singapore to expand aircraft component support for airline operators. The arrangements add new Boeing 787 repair work, broaden spare-parts procurement and extend lifecycle repair coverage for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 line replaceable units under Collins’ FlightSense aftermarket programme.

Under the deal, ST Engineering will repair Collins fan assembly electronics boards used on the 787, aiming to shorten repair turnaround times and reduce repair-over-replacement work. The company also widened an existing multi-platform agreement to source new Power & Controls spare parts for its line-replaceable-unit maintenance operations, while adding more narrowbody components to its portfolio.

The third agreement extends collaboration on A320 and 737 family LRU repairs, supporting ST Engineering’s Maintenance-By-the-Hour programme and its in-house component MRO capabilities for the 787, 737 MAX and A320neo. The partners described the relationship as longstanding, with the expanded scope designed to combine Collins Aerospace’s OEM expertise with ST Engineering’s maintenance and asset-management capabilities for a wider group of operators.
