Gogo Special Missions and Insitu have completed testing and integration of a modified satellite-connectivity solution for the Integrator Group 3 uncrewed aerial system. The setup pairs Gogo’s Galileo HDX antenna with Eutelsat’s OneWeb low-Earth orbit constellation, giving the Boeing subsidiary’s drone a high-speed SATCOM option without aircraft modifications and alongside the FLARES vertical take-off and landing kit.
The companies designed the system to extend command-and-control range and support low-latency backhaul of sensor data for military and government missions. Gogo described the configuration as ITAR-free and built around a single line-replaceable unit, while Insitu highlighted the value of added high-speed connectivity for customers operating the Integrator in demanding environments.
The Integrator is a Group 3 UAS platform used for multiple payloads, and the new setup is intended to give it access to global internet connectivity through OneWeb. The work was completed in Broomfield, Colorado, where the companies issued the joint update.
