Tschad: Royal Airways übernimmt erste Embraer ERJ 145

Royal Airways of Chad has taken delivery of its first Embraer ERJ145 in N’Djamena, joining an ATR arrival on the same day as the privately owned carrier expands its fleet and prepares to widen its network. The aircraft handover at Hassan Djamous International Airport gives the N’Djamena-based airline a jet suited to thinner regional routes and supports planned growth within Chad and into neighbouring markets.

The new aircraft form part of a broader fleet reshaping that has moved the airline away from older Embraer E120 operations. Royal Airways is set to resume domestic services to Moundou, Sarh, Am Timan and Faya-Largeau from 25 September, followed by a N’Djamena–Bangui service via Douala on 7 October. The carrier has also been operating the Douala route since November 2025, strengthening its presence on one of Central Africa’s key regional links.
