RECARO Aircraft Seating has produced 80 customised Gaming Nxt chairs for Scandinavian Airlines to mark SAS’s 80th anniversary. The limited-edition chairs were designed exclusively for the airline and each one represents a year of SAS history, tying the product to employee-focused anniversary celebrations in Sweden and across the carrier’s Scandinavian network.
The chairs carry SAS blue upholstery, a stitched SAS logo on the headrest and a white SAS logo on the back. RECARO, which is based in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, also highlighted the Gaming Nxt’s segmented backrest, premium materials and adjustable design, extending the company’s aircraft seating brand into a consumer-facing gaming product. SAS, founded in 1946, is marking eight decades of service with a series of anniversary activations this week.
