Lufthansa unveils 2026 Wiesn look for Oktoberfest flights

Lufthansa has unveiled its 2026 Wiesn look for Oktoberfest season, with cabin crews on selected Munich long-haul flights due to wear newly designed Bavarian Tracht from 19 September. The traditional outfit, created by Lower Bavarian maker Spieth & Wensky, will appear first on flights from Munich to Bengaluru and Beijing, followed by Singapore a week later, as the airline extends its annual Oktoberfest programme across cabins, lounges and onboard catering.

The new Tracht incorporates Lufthansa branding for the first time, including crane-logo buttons on the jackets and the Wing Pattern woven into the fabric. Lufthansa has used Bavarian clothing for its long-haul crews during Wiesn season for 20 years, maintaining a long-running seasonal tradition around the start of the Munich Oktoberfest. The airline is also bringing Bavarian dishes to selected intercontinental flights from Munich and Frankfurt in September, with dishes including Weißwurst terrine, Wiesn duck, Backhendl and apple strudel.

Business Class passengers on European routes will receive an Oktoberfest menu through 6 October, while new felt amenity kits will be distributed on long-haul flights departing Germany in First, Business and Premium Economy. Lufthansa lounges in Germany are also being decorated with Bavarian beers, food and Oktoberfest styling as part of the wider seasonal service campaign.
