RTX will appoint Jill Albertelli as president of Pratt & Whitney from 1 January 2027, succeeding Shane Eddy, who is retiring after four decades with the engine maker. Albertelli, currently president of Pratt & Whitney Military Engines, will report to RTX chairman and chief executive Chris Calio as the company prepares a leadership transition at the centre of its military and commercial propulsion business.
Albertelli has worked across engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain management, commercial programmes, sales, maintenance, repair operations, transformation and strategy. Her current role gives her direct experience inside Pratt & Whitney’s defence engine operations, including work tied to the F-35 programme.
RTX highlighted her involvement in securing Pratt & Whitney’s sole-source propulsion position on the F-35 and improving delivery and quality performance on the F135 engine. The move keeps continuity within the business while shifting leadership to an executive with broad operational experience across the company’s engine portfolio.
