Edelweiss to launch new Airbus A350 cabin in June 2027

Edelweiss will introduce its redesigned Airbus A350 cabin on selected long-haul routes from early June 2027, with bookings already open for flights to Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar, Windhoek and Halifax. The Zurich-based leisure carrier plans to refit all six of its A350s by early October 2027, giving its long-haul fleet a faster, company-wide cabin refresh.

The new layout lifts Premium Economy capacity to 28 seats in a 2-3-2 arrangement and changes Business to a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access. Business Suite seats will have doors and 32-inch screens, while the aircraft will also feature free Starlink-based high-speed internet, 4K displays, Bluetooth audio and wireless charging in the higher classes.

Economy will gain around 3 cm more seat pitch and a larger recline angle. The refit also doubles Premium Economy inventory across the aircraft from 30 to 60 seats, strengthening the carrier’s long-haul product on routes that are already on sale through standard booking channels.
