RTX names Jill Albertelli to lead Pratt & Whitney from January 2027

RTX has named Jill Albertelli to become president of Pratt & Whitney on 1 January 2027, replacing Shane Eddy, who is retiring. The leadership change was set out in Arlington, Virginia, and covers one of the world’s largest engine makers, whose civil and military programmes depend on continuity in production and execution.

Albertelli currently leads Pratt & Whitney Military Engines and will report to RTX chairman and chief executive Chris Calio in her new role. Eddy will remain with the company through March 2027 as a special adviser, giving RTX a planned transition period rather than an abrupt handover. Eddy has run Pratt & Whitney since March 2022. The move places a long-time Pratt & Whitney executive at the top of the wider division as the company continues work across engine programmes and supply chain priorities.
