Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City to gain third FBO

Freedom OKC is set to open next September at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, giving the airport a third fixed-base operator on its business aviation side. The new facility will expand service options for corporate and charter traffic at Oklahoma’s largest airport, alongside the ground handling, fuel and aircraft support already offered at the field.

The project places a new entrant into a market that serves business aircraft operators, where FBO choice can influence ramp access, handling availability and pricing. A rendering published with the coverage indicates the operation is still in development, with opening plans aimed at September 2027.

Will Rogers World Airport handles both commercial and general aviation traffic, and the addition of another FBO is likely to broaden competition for operators using the airport’s business aviation facilities. The move comes as airports continue to compete for higher-yield aviation activity by expanding support services for corporate and charter customers.
