Axinom and Rosen Aviation launch connected seatback platform

Axinom and Rosen Aviation have launched a connected seatback platform for in-flight entertainment, unveiling a system that links Rosen’s cabin displays with Axinom’s cloud-based software environment. The platform is designed for airline seatback installations and aims to turn the screen into a connected digital interface for onboard services.

The companies positioned the product as a lightweight, cloud-powered approach to in-flight entertainment that can support wider cabin use cases beyond video and audio content. Those applications include commerce, loyalty and disruption management, while the architecture places the cloud at the centre of content delivery, application logic and passenger data handling.

The launch comes as airlines continue to look for more flexible cabin technology that can work across different connectivity environments and hardware setups. Axinom has been expanding its onboard cloud portfolio in recent months, while Rosen Aviation has continued to develop cabin display and entertainment hardware for retrofit and linefit applications. The joint platform is intended to combine those two capabilities into a single foundation for future seatback deployments.
