Air India Express will start direct flights between Visakhapatnam/Bhogapuram and Bangkok on 27 October, opening the first international route from Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport. The service will operate twice weekly with flight IX 904 departing Bhogapuram on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:30 a.m., while return flight IX 903 will leave Bangkok on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The new link gives travellers in the Andhra Pradesh region their first non-stop international option from the airport, which is due to begin operations in early fourth-quarter 2026. Until now, passengers heading to Thailand have typically connected through Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru or Delhi. Introductory one-way economy fares have been reported at about ₹16,300 to ₹19,400.
The route is expected to be the airport’s inaugural international service and a key addition to Air India Express’s network from the region. Some reporting has described the launch as likely, so final schedule and commercial details may still require operational confirmation before the first flight.
