EgyptAir plans to launch a Cairo–Singapore–Sydney service in early 2027, bringing the airline back to Australia after about 25 years. The proposed long-haul routing, expected to use Airbus A350-900 aircraft, would restore a same-plane connection between North Africa and Australia, subject to regulatory approvals.
The service is set to re-establish EgyptAir’s presence at Sydney and revive a Cairo-Singapore link that has been absent since the carrier last operated the route in 2002. It would also add a new North Africa option via Singapore, while giving the Singapore-Sydney corridor another long-haul operator and more capacity. Exact schedules, frequency, fares and ticket sales details have not yet been disclosed, and a final launch date beyond early 2027 remains unconfirmed.
