Alpha Air is expanding its maintenance base at Mönchengladbach Airport by moving into a larger hangar and tripling its workspace to about 3,600 square metres from roughly 1,200. The new facility is due to enter service in the second quarter of 2027 after renovation of the hangar, with the enlarged operation set to handle larger business jets and several maintenance projects at once.
The German business-aviation specialist has been based at the airport since 2021 and is expanding capacity for aircraft including the Cessna Citation Sovereign and Sovereign+, Latitude and Longitude, as well as the Pilatus PC-24. The move is expected to strengthen Mönchengladbach’s role as a maintenance base for business aircraft and increase throughput for higher-end jet work.
