Aeroitalia has launched weekly flights from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Bergamo to Tripoli Mitiga, adding direct scheduled links between Italy and Libya. Both routes began on 6 September and are operated with Boeing 737-400 aircraft, giving the carrier two new point-to-point services into the Libyan capital’s secondary airport.
The new operation runs once a week on each city pair, with Sunday departures from Rome and Bergamo. The schedule also includes a Monday return from Tripoli to Bergamo. The launch expands Aeroitalia’s international network and restores a direct Libya connection from two Italian bases, while increasing available scheduled access to Tripoli Mitiga for business and visiting traffic. Route-planning data show the flights are numbered XZ354, XZ355 and XZ356, matching the weekly pattern now in place.
