SCAT to launch first Kazakhstan–Singapore flights via Sanya

SCAT Airlines will launch the first direct air link between Kazakhstan and Singapore on 20 October, opening sales for a twice-weekly Shymkent–Singapore service operated with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The route will include a technical stop in Sanya, China, and will give Singapore its first direct connection to Central Asia since 2019.

The service is structured as a direct flight with one intermediate landing rather than a connecting itinerary, allowing SCAT to carry passengers on the full Shymkent–Singapore journey as well as on the Sanya–Singapore sector under fifth-freedom rights. Published timings put the Shymkent–Sanya leg at about 6.5 hours, with around two hours on the ground in Sanya and roughly three hours from Sanya to Singapore.

The new link extends SCAT’s international network further into Southeast Asia and adds a new scheduled option between Kazakhstan and Singapore. Available coverage confirms the Singapore service clearly, while reporting on any planned Egyptair operation remains unverified from the gathered material.
