Jet Match sees ultra-long-range preowned jet listings shift to make offer

Jet Match’s latest quarterly market report shows a growing share of preowned ultra-long-range business jets moving off published asking prices, with Gulfstream G600, Gulfstream G650 and G650ER, Bombardier Global 6000 and Bombardier Global 7500 listings increasingly posted as “Make Offer”. The brokerage also found the practice spreading beyond the top-end segment, distorting published pricing data in the wider preowned market.

The report indicated that if remaining public listings are taken at face value, average asking prices across all jets and the ultra-long-range category fell about 30% year on year. Model-level comparisons, where listings were still available, pointed in the opposite direction, with Gulfstream G650 prices up as much as 20% on thin supply, Falcon 7X values up 10% and Global Express prices up 6%.

The shift leaves published asking-price indices looking weaker than underlying market conditions in the high end of the used business jet market, where scarce comparable aircraft can make visible price data less reliable. Sellers and brokers are increasingly choosing not to display a fixed figure, relying instead on private negotiations for aircraft that remain in demand.
