Breeze Airways has retired its last Embraer E190, ending scheduled passenger service with the type and leaving the carrier with an all-Airbus A220 fleet. The final aircraft, registered N120BZ, completed its last rotation on Monday, linking Orlando, New Orleans and Wilmington before returning to New Orleans.
The transition closes the airline’s Embraer chapter less than four years after launch. Breeze began operations in May 2021 with 10 E190s and three E195s, then introduced the A220 in December 2021 as the core of its fleet plan.
The final E190 flights operated on a short schedule across the first week of September, with the aircraft used on routes between New Orleans, Orlando and Wilmington. Reports also indicated that the jet was expected to head to storage in San Jose, Costa Rica, under the MX9420 ferry designation.
Breeze now operates 59 Airbus A220s, giving it a standardised single-type fleet for scheduled service. That removes the last Embraer from the operation and simplifies fleet planning, maintenance and cabin consistency across the network.
