United Airlines will resume nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Tel Aviv on 8 September, initially with two daily flights on the route. The restart restores a key United transatlantic link after months of suspension linked to regional airspace and security disruption following the Iran war and wider Middle East instability.
The return places United back into the competitive New York–Tel Aviv market at a time when demand is rebuilding ahead of the High Holidays. Forward schedules indicate the service will operate from Newark with Boeing 787-10 aircraft, and the carrier has also signalled further expansion from other US hubs in the months ahead.
United’s Newark–Dubai route remains suspended, with recent reporting suggesting the service may not return until late March 2027 at the earliest. That timing has not been confirmed in the same firm way as the Tel Aviv restart, leaving the Dubai path more uncertain while the Israel service moves back into operation.
