ANA Holdings confirms order for eight more Embraer E190-E2s

ANA Holdings has firmed up an order for eight additional Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, taking its total firm commitment for the regional jet to 23. The Japanese airline group also retains five options for more aircraft, while first delivery is scheduled for 2028 as ANA expands a fleet strategy centred on regional network growth in Japan.

The agreement formalises a decision ANA Holdings disclosed in July, extending a programme that began with an original firm order for 15 E190-E2s in 2025. The latest aircraft are intended for domestic and regional operations, where the E190-E2 is positioned as a lower-cost and more sustainable option for short-haul flying.

Embraer presented the deal in Tokyo, underscoring the Brazilian manufacturer’s continued push into Japan’s regional market. With the additional eight aircraft, ANA Holdings strengthens a fleet plan that can still expand further if the remaining options are exercised.
