Google has expanded AI Mode with new travel features that let users track flight prices, compare trip options and see reward-pricing information in the United States and in English. The update pulls on Google Flights data and wider travel inventory to make search more useful for fare monitoring and trip planning, extending Google’s role in how travellers discover and book air travel.
The rollout covers flight-price alerts, travel suggestions and hotel planning tools, with access built around more than 300 airline and travel partners. For aviation publishers and fare-focused sites, the change could alter how users reach route, price and alert content inside Google’s ecosystem. The current launch is limited to the US market and does not yet extend to German-language AI Mode.
The feature set also brings loyalty and reward pricing into search results, including mileage and points-based options for selected itineraries. That makes Google a stronger intermediary between travellers, airlines, online travel agencies and loyalty programmes, while keeping the experience centred on automated search rather than separate booking tools.
