UFO and Lufthansa resume talks on cabin crew dispute

Lufthansa and the UFO cabin crew union will resume talks next week on long-running collective bargaining issues, including arrangements for employees affected by the shutdown of Lufthansa CityLine. The renewed dialogue follows mediation, a workshop and exploratory discussions that both sides say helped reopen negotiations after months of deadlock.

UFO said the two sides have rebuilt a minimum level of mutual trust and are returning to substantive bargaining. The union also included the CityLine case in the talks, widening the scope beyond the core Lufthansa cabin crew dispute.

Lufthansa welcomed the return to constructive dialogue. Both sides agreed to keep the content and progress of the talks confidential, leaving no concrete bargaining points in the public domain. Follow-up meetings are scheduled for the coming weeks as the labour conflict moves back into negotiation mode.
