DAE completes US$9 billion acquisition of Macquarie AirFinance

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise has closed its acquisition of Macquarie AirFinance, lifting its fleet to about 1,000 owned, managed and committed aircraft. The transaction now carries an enterprise value of about US$9 billion, up from the original US$7 billion announcement, reflecting fleet changes between signing and completion. DAE said the enlarged platform serves more than 175 airline customers across 75 countries and extends its orderbook into the 2030s. The closing consolidates a leasing portfolio that already spans narrowbody-heavy exposure, deeper manufacturer relationships and a wider customer base, strengthening DAE’s standing among the sector’s largest lessors.
