Bamboo Airways has apologised for widespread cancellations and delays after its operational fleet fell to just a few aircraft, forcing extreme rotation across domestic and regional services. The carrier linked the disruption to recent operational adjustments and said affected passengers will receive refunds. Vietnamese media said the active fleet had dropped from eight aircraft at year-end to three, with only one or two aircraft in rotation, leaving a single Airbus A321 to cover up to six legs in one day and cascade delays through Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Macau. The strain reflects lease-payment pressure and debt talks with lessors, while the airline still targets a 30-aircraft fleet.
