Elliott Aviation has completed its 100th Garmin G5000 avionics upgrade, installing the integrated flight deck in a Cessna Citation XLS operated by Centennial Jets. The milestone underscores the MRO provider’s experience with modernising in-service business jets and gives Citation XLS operators an alternative to replacing aircraft when seeking updated cockpit capability and support.
The upgrade programme covers the Citation XLS platform, with the same Garmin G5000 package also available for the Beechjet 400A and Hawker 400XP. Elliott Aviation began the Citation Excel and XLS retrofit programme after securing the required supplemental type certificate in 2019, building a substantial installation base across the aircraft family.
The G5000 retrofit brings a current integrated avionics suite to older business jets, supporting greater cockpit standardisation and access to modern flight-deck functions. Elliott Aviation’s retrofit programme is aimed at operators seeking to extend the useful life of existing aircraft while updating their avionics architecture.
