AIP Capital closes US$228m facility for six Breeze A220-300s

AIP Capital has closed a US$228 million secured debt facility to support Breeze Airways’ acquisition of six new Airbus A220-300s. The financing, provided through AIP’s Private Credit strategy, is the second facility between the two companies. Breeze plans to use the aircraft as part of its fleet growth and expansion across domestic and international routes.

Breeze operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 91 cities in the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Its fleet is built around the A220-300, which the airline uses to serve its network.

The financing announcement did not disclose the aircraft delivery schedule or the facility’s interest rate, maturity or repayment terms. Breeze chief financial officer Trent Porter described the transaction as the airline’s second financing with AIP. AIP managing director Colm Daly linked the facility to Breeze’s fleet growth and strategic development.
