FlyBIS places two firm orders for Eve eVTOLs, with rights for 10 more

Eve Air Mobility and Brazilian operator FlyBIS Aviation have signed a binding agreement covering up to 12 eVTOL aircraft for planned services in southern Brazil. The deal comprises two firm orders and purchase rights for ten additional aircraft. FlyBIS intends initially to connect destinations in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, although the agreement sets no service-entry date or delivery schedule.

The agreement advances a relationship that began with a letter of intent in 2022. Potential destinations include Navegantes, Balneário Camboriú and Florianópolis in Santa Catarina, and Gramado and Bento Gonçalves in Rio Grande do Sul. Eve and FlyBIS are working on network planning, operational readiness, infrastructure and integration with the wider transport system.

Deployment will depend on aircraft development and certification, as well as preparations for operations and supporting infrastructure. Eve’s full-scale engineering prototype has completed more than 70 flights and is expanding its test envelope through transition testing. In September, Brazil’s Ministry of Ports and Airports brought industry stakeholders together to discuss certification, vertiports, energy supply, safety, telecommunications and airspace integration. The agreement does not disclose aircraft pricing.
