Boeing has agreed to convert one 767-300 into a Boeing Converted Freighter for Iceland-based lessor Icelease, which holds options for two additional aircraft. The work will take place at ST Engineering’s airframe maintenance facilities in Singapore. The first aircraft is scheduled to enter conversion in the first quarter of 2027, with delivery expected in the second quarter for Dublin-based IAT Leasing’s managed cargo fleet.
The aircraft will add the 767-300BCF to IAT Leasing’s portfolio, which already includes seven 737-800BCFs and other freighters leased to customers. Icelease and IAT Leasing are sister companies. The agreement extends Icelease’s relationship with Boeing and provides for a possible move into the 767 conversion programme, although only the first aircraft is currently agreed.
Boeing gives the 767-300BCF a range of 3,300 nautical miles and a payload of 57 tonnes. Financial terms and the identity of the aircraft selected for conversion were not disclosed. The companies held a signing ceremony on 22 October at the Cargo Facts Symposium; the agreement was announced on 2 November.
