Textron Aviation’s Flight Adventure attraction is now open to the public at Exploration Place in Wichita, Kansas. The exhibit features a Beechcraft Staggerwing mounted above a control tower and an explorable Cessna Citation business jet, bringing aircraft into the museum’s 6.5-acre Adventure Playscape. The opening adds an aviation-focused area to the family destination, which began welcoming visitors in March 2026.
Textron Aviation employees and their families were among the first to visit the attraction before it opened to the public. The company describes the installation as a hands-on introduction to Wichita’s aviation heritage and the aircraft industry. Its senior vice president of human resources and communications, Maggie Topping, said the exhibit would give children an opportunity to learn about an industry that continues to shape the community.
The Flight Adventure links Exploration Place’s outdoor play area with Wichita’s aircraft-manufacturing history. The attraction centres on two aircraft types associated with the city’s aviation industry, while the Citation cabin gives visitors access to a business jet interior. No public-opening date, attendance figures, investment amount or visitor forecast has been disclosed.
