WZL-1, WCKBT and Boeing have signed offset implementation agreements in Łódź to support Poland’s AH-64E Apache helicopter fleet. The deals are designed to build local industrial cooperation for sustainment, maintenance and ground support as Poland prepares to field 96 Apaches, with WZL-1 set to take on maintenance, repair and overhaul work in country.
The agreements give WZL-1 responsibility for organisational- and intermediate-level inspections and repairs, along with some depot-level component repair. Boeing and WCKBT will assess selected Polish ground support equipment for possible use with the Apache programme, while Boeing will provide technical input, resources and training to help the two firms modernise support capabilities.
The arrangement deepens Poland’s domestic support base for a fleet that will require long-term in-country maintenance infrastructure. It also creates a pathway for Polish engineering solutions to be integrated into future Apache sustainment and ground support operations.
