Virgin Atlantic has been named the Official Airline Partner of Team GB and ParalympicsGB for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, while Virgin Atlantic Holidays becomes the Official Holiday Partner. The partnership centres on Virgin Atlantic’s three daily London–Los Angeles services and includes travel support for athletes, teams and equipment, alongside accessibility work linked to ParalympicsGB.
The agreement was launched at London Heathrow and ties the airline’s transatlantic network to the build-up to LA28. Virgin Atlantic will support the movement of athletes and team officials between the UK and Los Angeles, while the holiday arm will connect the deal to fan travel. The arrangement also covers efforts to improve accessibility for disabled passengers, including support for sports and assistive equipment.
The deal gives Virgin Atlantic a high-profile platform on one of its most strategically important long-haul routes. For Team GB and ParalympicsGB, it secures airline backing for a four-year cycle running into the Los Angeles Games, with the focus on reliable travel logistics and accessibility ahead of the event.
