Vantage to Open First Self-Built FBO in Colorado in December

Vantage Aviation is preparing to open its first self-built fixed-base operator in December at Rifle Garfield County Airport in Colorado. The new facility will give the aviation-services company a directly developed and operated FBO in the state, expanding its network beyond acquired operations and strengthening its presence in the Rocky Mountain business-aviation market.

The Rifle project is under construction and is expected to enter service before the end of 2026. It will include a new FBO terminal and hangar development, with approximately 65,000 square feet allocated to aircraft storage and nearly 10,000 square feet for terminal and office space.

Vantage already operates FBOs at several US locations and has expanded its activities across fuelling, ground handling and hangar services. The Rifle facility represents a shift towards developing and operating purpose-built sites as part of that network strategy.

The company has not disclosed investment figures, staffing levels, customer commitments or a detailed opening schedule. The planned December opening remains the latest reported timing for the Colorado facility.
