SWISS 777-300ER review praises business-class hospitality

A firsthand review of SWISS business class on a Boeing 777-300ER has praised the cabin crew’s hospitality and the onboard dining, while noting limitations in the older seat design. Aviation journalist Chris Sloan flew from Zurich to Miami on a ten-hour service after travelling from Frankfurt via Zurich. The aircraft has 62 business-class seats across two cabins, in a staggered 1-2-2 and 2-2-1 layout.

The review describes attentive service and high-quality meals, but points to the seat’s lack of direct aisle access and privacy doors. SWISS’s 777-300ER is configured with four classes and 320 seats. The assessment reflects one passenger’s experience; the flight number and date were not identified.

SWISS is introducing its redesigned SWISS Senses cabin on Airbus A350-900s, with a gradual rollout planned across the A330 and 777 fleets. No timeline has been specified for the 777. Separately, the airline is preparing to replace existing inflight connectivity with Starlink as part of a Lufthansa Group fleet upgrade.
