UPS will invest more than $2 billion in its international, healthcare and supply-chain operations, including a new hub at Clark International Airport in the Philippines and a larger air hub at Hong Kong International Airport. The Clark facility is due to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, while the Hong Kong project is scheduled for 2028, expanding the company’s Asia-Pacific cargo network with more capacity for cross-border freight and temperature-sensitive shipments.
The Clark hub will handle imports, exports and transshipment, building on more than 25 years of UPS operations at the airport. In Hong Kong, UPS plans a fully automated air hub of about 20,000 square metres with direct aircraft access and annual capacity of close to one million metric tons of cargo. The company is positioning the investment to improve transit times across Asia-Pacific and support express-package, supply-chain and healthcare logistics flows.
The Philippines site gives UPS another regional gateway for short-haul and interline cargo movements, while the Hong Kong project extends its long-standing presence at one of Asia’s key air freight centres. Both developments form part of a wider network upgrade aimed at linking fast-growing markets with North America, Europe and the rest of Asia through more efficient air cargo handling.
