Airbus Corporate Jets expects demand for large business jets in the Middle East to strengthen through 2030, with fleet replacement adding to growth in aircraft utilisation. A survey of 35 regional business aviation financiers and brokers found that 83% forecast higher large-jet activity, including 37% who expect dramatic growth. The findings were released around the return of the Corporate Jet Investor event in Dubai.
The Middle East accounts for roughly one-third of the global bizliner fleet, according to ACJ President Chadi Saade. About 40% of the regional fleet is approaching a nominal 15-year replacement cycle, potentially creating a renewal wave alongside organic market expansion. The survey indicates broader demand, with 80% of respondents expecting greater use of light jets and 78% forecasting increased utilisation of midsize aircraft.
Technology and sustainability are also shaping purchasing decisions. Some 89% expect artificial intelligence to play a larger role in flight planning, fuel-burn reduction and predictive maintenance over the next five years, while 72% anticipate next-generation low-Earth-orbit satellite connectivity supporting business-aircraft sales and operations through 2030. Another 83% expect sustainable aviation fuel use to increase, and 92% report that buyers are placing greater emphasis on fuel efficiency when selecting aircraft.
The findings represent market expectations rather than firm orders, deliveries or transaction data, but point to potential opportunities for manufacturers of large and extra-large business jets as regional operators address both rising utilisation and an ageing fleet.
