United Airlines will end nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Lima on 27 March 2027, with the last scheduled flight on 26 March. The route has linked the New York area with Peru since 2012, but United is shifting capacity to Houston, where it will increase George Bush Intercontinental Airport–Lima service to two daily flights.
The change removes a nonstop Peru option from the Newark market while strengthening United’s Houston operation on the same city pair. United described the move as part of its regular network adjustments based on seasonality, demand and other market factors. The schedule change points to a rebalancing of transatlantic and Latin American capacity within the carrier’s US hub network rather than a broader withdrawal from Lima.
