Textron Aviation Rolls Out 500th Citation Latitude in Wichita

Textron Aviation has rolled out the 500th Cessna Citation Latitude from its Wichita, Kansas manufacturing facility, marking a production milestone for the midsize business jet. The event underlines the programme’s longevity and sustained demand more than 11 years after the Citation Latitude entered service in August 2015.

The aircraft maker framed the milestone as recognition of the Wichita workforce behind the Latitude line, with senior vice president of manufacturing Eric Cardinali praising the employees who build the jet. The Citation Latitude, designated the CE-680A, has become one of the company’s most established business aircraft programmes and remains a key part of Textron Aviation’s midsize portfolio.

The rollout is a production achievement rather than a new model launch or certification step, but it still reflects the aircraft’s continued market position. With 500 examples now produced, the Latitude remains a prominent marker of Textron Aviation’s manufacturing output and the wider health of the midsize business-jet segment.
