Swedavia to cut 95 jobs in organisational overhaul

Swedavia will cut 95 jobs as part of a wider reorganisation that affects about 125 positions including vacancies, with the bulk of the changes concentrated at its Stockholm head office. The Swedish state-owned airport operator is seeking to simplify its structure, move decisions closer to operations and customers, and reduce costs.

The restructuring takes effect immediately and is expected to be completed before year-end. It mainly targets support functions, reflecting a shift toward a leaner central organisation. Swedavia operates ten airports in Sweden and employs about 2,800 people, making the move a significant internal reset for the group. Mats Johannesson, Swedavia’s president and chief executive, linked the changes to stronger focus on the core mission and more efficient decision-making.
