Star Air will launch a new direct service between Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar and restore flights between Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda from 4 September, with both routes set to operate six times a week. The expansion adds 24 weekly flights and strengthens connectivity between Telangana and Odisha, including access to western Odisha’s industrial belt.
The network move ties Hyderabad to two destinations in Odisha that are important for business and regional travel, while also reviving a route linking the state capital with Jharsuguda. Shilpa Bhatia, Star Air’s chief commercial and marketing officer, linked the schedule to demand for better links across the two states. The services are designed to support travel to and from key centres such as Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda and the wider western Odisha corridor.
