DHL Express and Singapore Airlines have renewed their crew-and-maintenance agreement for five Boeing 777 freighters based at Singapore Changi Airport. The aircraft will remain operated by Singapore Airlines pilots and maintained by Singapore Airlines engineers, preserving a long-running arrangement tied to DHL’s South Asia Hub in Singapore and its transpacific cargo network.
The freighters entered service progressively from 2022 and each has a payload capacity of up to 102 tonnes. They connect Singapore with destinations in the United States and support time-definite express freight as well as e-commerce flows across the route network.
The agreement keeps an established operating model in place for DHL’s intercontinental air cargo services while extending Singapore Airlines’ role in a high-value freight partnership. No contract length or fleet changes were disclosed.
