Ryanair will add a twice-weekly service between Saarbrücken Airport in Germany and Málaga in southern Spain from the end of March 2027. The route will operate during the summer schedule, with tickets already available. It will be the airline’s fourth destination from Saarbrücken, alongside Alicante, Trapani and Lamezia Terme, and its second Spanish route from the airport.
Ryanair began flying from Saarbrücken in 2026. Alicante is also being served through the winter, following strong demand, while Trapani and Lamezia Terme connect the airport with Sicily and Calabria. The schedule details reported for the Málaga service differ on operating days, so these are not specified here.
Saarbrücken Airport handled about 311,000 passengers in 2025. Airport managing director Thomas Schuck described Málaga as an additional holiday destination and linked the route to demand for travel to Spain. Ryanair’s Germany manager, Marcel Pouchain Meyer, said the airline would continue to use regional airports such as Saarbrücken and renewed the carrier’s call for lower aviation costs in Germany.
