Lufthansa will restore its Bremen–Frankfurt route in the summer 2027 schedule, bringing back a daily link between the northern German city and its main hub after the service was cut in July 2026. The route had previously operated up to five times a day and is expected to resume with morning and evening departures in the new pattern.
The reinstatement follows talks involving Lufthansa and the Bremen Senate, which had pushed for the return of a connection seen as important for business travel and onward long-haul access. Frankfurt serves as Bremen’s key transfer point for international traffic, while the airline’s Munich service from the city is set to remain strong at close to four flights a day.
Lufthansa ended the route on 1 July 2026, citing high costs and weak profitability. Exact timings and any operational conditions for the revived service have not yet been disclosed, and it remains unclear what concessions, if any, Bremen made to secure the agreement.
