Lufthansa Technik names new leaders in Puerto Rico and Budapest

Lufthansa Technik has appointed new leaders at two of its MRO sites, with Blanca Burgos taking charge of Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico in Aguadilla and Johannes Rotter leading Lufthansa Technik Budapest. Burgos has held the Puerto Rico role since September, while Rotter assumed the Budapest post in August, as the company refreshes management at both stations in its global maintenance network.

Burgos joined from FEAM Aero and brings more than 30 years of aircraft maintenance experience. She succeeds Jörg Speri, who moved to Austrian Airlines. Rotter previously spent more than 20 years at Austrian Airlines, most recently heading maintenance, and replaces Thoralf Wagner, who moved to Swiss.

The two sites are strategically important within Lufthansa Technik’s international MRO footprint. Puerto Rico supports heavy maintenance work on Airbus A320-family aircraft, while Budapest provides base and line maintenance for Boeing 737 Next Generation and MAX aircraft as well as the Airbus A320 family. The leadership changes keep continuity at both stations while shifting experienced maintenance executives into local management roles.
